I would like
to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our community-minded
organization's site. Our primary goal is to support and encourage
business growth and development in the area of South Alabama, extending
from southern Mobile Bay westward to Grand Bay. The Chamber, is
a growing body of business owners, entrepreneurs, and private citizens,
boasts over 60 active members. Last year, we moved into an office,
manned 5 days a week, in the B. L. B. Community Center on Padgett
Switch Road. Our elected Directors, along with any interested members,
meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month for a working lunch. |

Through our
meetings and networking, members exchange information, share business
and economic insights, and work as a team towards achieving mutual
goals. We maintain open communications with area legislators and
officials who assist us in supporting and enhancing the business
opportunities and environment in the area. Some of our related projects
include an annual Seafood Bash in Montgomery for State legislators
and leaders, co-host, with other area Chambers, a seafood dinner
and social hour for local legislators and officials, and a cook-out
for area municipal government leaders. Our major fund-raiser, known
nationally, is the Taste of the Bayou which is held annually on
the last Saturday of September. |

If you live
in the surrounding communities of Bayou La Batre, please seriously
consider membership. Meet and make new friends, become a mutually
beneficial link in our network, and help our area grow and prosper.
Call us or e-mail us for an application form. Please feel free to
contact the Chamber office for further information. We look forward to hearing from
and meeting you. |
